Your speaker score
Each substantive speech is scored out of 80, with 70 being an average speech. See WSDC Scoring for what the numbers mean — the same rules your judges use.
Judge feedback
Judges leave a reason for decision for the debate, and may leave a short comment for you individually. Read both: the RFD explains the result, the comment is about your speaking.

You do not inherit your school’s participation score. Being at a very active school does not raise your ranking — only your own debating does.
In local leagues, positions use your total points across the season, so debating often helps. In international selection they use your average per debate, so a speaker with three debates is compared fairly with one who had twelve.
Why a result is not showing
Two normal reasons:
- The coordinator has not released it yet. Nothing reaches a league table before release.
- League rankings rebuild overnight. A tournament that ended today appears tomorrow.
If a score still looks wrong after that, ask your school administrator to raise it with the coordinator. Every ballot records its reasoning and every correction records who made it, so a result can be traced.
