Troubleshooting

“This draw does not match what the server computes”

A round was paired offline, and by the time it synced the underlying data had changed — a team withdrew, or another device paired the same round first.

Regenerate the draw and save it again. The server refuses a draw it cannot reproduce rather than accepting two different versions of the same round.

A judge’s ballot has not appeared

Check whether their device is still offline. The banner on their screen shows a count of actions waiting to be sent; if it is above zero, the ballot is on the phone and not yet on the server.

If they are online and the count is zero, look at the round: a ballot submitted against a round that was later reopened is held for a decision rather than applied.

The motion is not visible

For an impromptu round the motion stays hidden until it is released. Judges and, in Dreams Mode, students and volunteers are notified at that moment by push and email.

Prepared motions are visible as soon as the tournament is published.

Rankings look wrong or are missing

League standings are rebuilt nightly, so a tournament that finished today appears tomorrow.

A tournament also contributes nothing until its results are released for that audience. See Releasing Rankings.

A school says its payment is not showing

A payment a school records is a claim. It appears immediately as awaiting confirmation, but does not count until a coordinator confirms it.

Teams are marked paid only when confirmed payments cover the full amount due — a partial payment marks nothing.

Notifications are not arriving

Notifications need permission from the browser. If it was dismissed once, the browser will not ask again; it must be re-enabled in the site settings for irankhub.debaterwanda.org.

Notifications also require iRank to be installed or the tab to have been opened at least once on that device.

Someone cannot sign in

Check the account is verified — an unverified account can sign in but sees very little. The verification link is sent at registration and can be resent by an administrator.

Accounts lock after repeated failed attempts. An administrator can clear the lock.
